I had a blast last week at the INDS Product Fair hosted by the College of Human Sciences at Auburn. It was so fun to meet and chat with all the interior design students as they shared their plans and projects—they loved trying out the Lamino chair by Hightower, the Gobi chair by SitOnIt Seating and the Velma table by Alabama Sawyer.

Alabama Sawyer hand crafts and "burns" Alabama pine using the Japanese Shou Sugi Ban finishing method. Originating in 18th century Japan, shou sugi ban is a particularly striking method of preserving wood by charring it with fire. Products with this finish are suitable for both indoor and outdoor installations.
